Suite à une résidence de création début 2024 sur l’île d’Arranmore (Donegal, Irlande), Zoé Basha, franco-américaine basée à Dublin, et Aina Tulier, tarnaise, ont déjà réalisé une mini-tournée en Irlande. Elles ont préparé un concert pour partager leurs influences: les musiques traditionnelles d’Occitanie et des Appalaches.
Avec un chaleureux travail autour du chant mono/polyphonique, des violons, mais aussi guitare, cornemuse et nyckelharpa, les deux multi-instrumentistes proposent un concert chantant avec un mélange rafraîchissant de différentes traditions musicales qui font danser le public sur sa chaise.

Zoé Basha est chanteuse, musicienne (guitare et violon) et compositrice et a bénéficié du programme Music Network Resonate Residency en 2023. Elle va sortir son premier album solo en 2024: un mélange de ballades traditionnelles avec des arrangements contemporains, ainsi que des morceaux originaux intégrant chant traditionnel, jazz et blues.

Following an artist residency on Arranmore in early 2024, Dublin-based Zoé Basha and French musician Aina Tulier will be touring with works they have been developing, exploring links between Appalachian and Occitan traditional music.
With bold vocal harmonies, fiddles, and nyckelharpa, the two Francophone multi-instrumentalists are sure to give a performance with a refreshing blend of multiple traditional styles that will leave the audience dancing in their seats, and craving more.

Zoé Basha is a musician and composer, and a Music Network Resonate Residency recipient of 2023. She will be releasing her debut album in 2024: a mix of traditional ballads with contemporary arrangements, and original pieces blending traditional singing, jazz and blues music.
Aina Tulier is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (nyckelharpa, fiddle, Gascon bagpipes) specialising in a variety of traditional music styles. She teaches nyckelharpa and traditional Occitan singing, and plays with a multitude of ensembles and balfolk bands. While living in Ireland in 2015, she taught French trad dancing in Dublin, and is looking forward to this return to Ireland.
